American Legion Post 184 Veterans Remembrance Patch

You can earn the Veterans Remembrance Patch!  The patch can be earned by:

1) Visiting and answering guidebook questions for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the World War II Memorial, the U. S. Navy Memorial, the Iwo Jima Memorial, and the Air Force Memorial;

2) Visiting and answering guidebook questions for any ten additional memorials of your choosing;

3) Visiting and answering guidebook questions for Chestnut Grove Cemetery, the Town of Herndon Veterans Memorial, and the Herndon Depot Museum; and,

4) Completing any five of the twelve American Legion Post 184 activities listed in the Activities section of the guidebook.

Earning the patch is a great way to remember our veterans, do your duty to your country, do a good turn for American Legion Post 184, and even complete one 10-mile hike for the hiking merit badge!  Plus you will earn the really sharp-looking patch - see above!

If you would like to earn the patch, download, save and print the form below.  Fill out the form and mail it with your fee to American Legion Post 184.  The guidebook will be mailed to you.

The form is also available at:

The American Legion Post 184 Veterans Remembrance Patch and guidebook were created by Troop 1570 scout Ryan McLeod, as his Eagle project, in 2006.  The guidebook was thoroughly revised and greatly expanded by Troop 1570 scout Brian Butler, as his Eagle project, in 2013.

It's important to remember our veterans, and this patch came from our own troop - let's be the troop with the most scouts earning it!
