New Scout Information Who Can Join? Boys - 1st grade through 5th grade.
- Tiger Cub: Must be under the age of 8, has completed kindergarten or is in the 1st grade by age 7
- Wolf: 2nd grade or age 8
- Bear: 3rd grade or age 9
- Webelos Scout - Must have completed 3rd grade, but has not completed 5th grade, be 10, but not 11 1/2.
- Webelos I - 4th grade or age 10
- Webelos II - 5th grade or age 11
How Much Time is Involved?
Den meetings are every Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Hawthorne School Star room. Parents are encouraged to come to all meetings and must accompany their Scout on field trips.
What do you need and where do I get these items?
Pack 31 provides the following:
- Book
- Neckerchief
- Neckerchief slide
- Pack # patch
- Los Padres Council patch
- World Crest patch.
You will need to purchase a blue Scout shirt and belt for Tigers, Wolfs, and Bears, and the rank appropriate hat.
Webelos Scouts will need to purchase a khaki shirt and green belt.
Scout pants and socks are optional.

How Much Does It Cost?
- Youth Scout registration is $33 for one year.
- Boy's Life Magazine is $12 for one year.
- Monthly Pack dues are $3.75 (This supports our weekly activities)
- Total Cost for one year = $90
Payment Methods:
- Full payment by credit, check or cash of $90.00 Due by October 1st or
- 3 payments of $31.00 due Sept. 23, Oct. 7, Oct 21
- Make Checks Payable to Pack 31.
Get some money back:
- Sell $375 worth of popcorn and $25 of your dues will be refunded
- Sell $500 worth of popcorn and all dues will be refunded
How do I get my son involved?
- Just join us at one of our den meetings on Tuesday nights.
- Complete a Cub Scout Application and pay your dues.
- Complete an Adult application and take the Youth Protection Training course online
- That's it.
